Being situated in Canada’s busiest airport (Pearson), this property welcomes guests from all over the world, and the Sheraton Guest Profile defines the type of traveler that frequents this hotel. The design scheme combines the values of the Sheraton Brand and the distinctive features of YYZ, Toronto and Canada. The noun ‘gateway’ has several meanings, all of which are supported by the design concept; an opening, a means of access or entry, a means of achieving a state or condition, and most importantly a connection between different elements. The Sheraton Gateway property is now the heart of the global network where guests are part of not only the Sheraton community but also a larger accepting and unified collective, the ‘gateway’ to or from Canada. Moncur Design Associates Inc. is responsible for the entire extensive renovation which saw the completion of the entire Public Spaces which includes the Reception, Lobby Lounge, Coffee Bar / Bar, Restaurant, Studios, Club Lounge and the Functions Spaces. The full Guest Tower was also renovated using a customized Sheraton Standard design package for 6 floors and a total of 482 Guestroom and Suites.
