The transformation of this 373 room hotel in the heart of Uptown Charlotte was completed in 2018. From the discovery of the 17 pound gold nugget to the city’s evolution as a banking centre, Charlotte’s history is rich in precious metals. Focusing on the Design Narrative, Moncur Design Associates Inc. developed a Guest Tower design for the Guestrooms, Suites and Guest Corridors. We began by creating a strong Guestroom / Suite envelope of warm wood, gold mirror and metallic wallcovering and introduced casepieces, softgoods and lighting elements that are imbued with rich gold and silver tones. The same design intent continues through the Public Spaces such as the Motor Lobby, Main Lobby, Lobby Bar, Restaurant, Signature Lounge and Pool. Each area has it's own character but reflects opulence and class through saturated colours and metallic accents. This cohesive scheme is not only timeless and sophisticated but also created a sense of unsurpassed luxury.
